Poured vinegar on salad thinking it dressing. started to choke. thought I would die.. seemed to last a few seconds..throat must have opened up and I could breathe .. very scary

I thought I was putting salad dressing on my salad. Instead I put vinegar. not even sure what kind of vinegar it was..Suddenly started to choke. Thought I was dying..felt like choking ..gagging..Lasted a few seconds I think...very very frightening. aftermath throat still feels rawish a few hours later . sucked on a candy..drank some sort of seltzer like soda...see I am not alone. thought it the end.

Be very careful with your ideas of charter schools. They are currently successfully resegregating schools in places where we thought segregation was no longer an issue. I get that when used properly the idea has merit, but where in these United States do we find any idea being properly used on a consistent basis?

My niece is a veterinarian in Cleveland (two years now) and after some initial hesitation, she loves it. And it's a great food town. Congrats to you and Jen - hot sause room, fantastic.

It happened to me when I was about 30, so I don't think it is an aging thing. I have been avoiding, too.

I'm a nurse + been doing the Vinegar-Choke for the past 10 years-thought it was an aging thing going on, maybe GERD, maybe an allergic protective reaction or a narrow esophagus. In any event, my throat didnt choke up on me + able to maintain my breathing with calmness and it passes. I'll speak with my PCP at my next physical but I'm not spending alot of money to solve this dilemma. Avoidance is usually the answer !

I did and it cost me $1500 in tests and still they found nothing. I'm beginning to think that it may be food related.

Go and see a specialist, ENT they know about it. I had it happen to me few times, its a spasm in the vocal cords, often said to be effected by Acid Reflex disease. It happened to me with vinegar too, twice, also at
night once. Its so frightening! I think I'm stuck with it, no real cure. Make sure it's not about acid reflex.

This is happening to me right now. It happens often usually set off by vinegar or pepper. I think there is trouble with my where my larynx and windpipe are, and that the skin there is extra sensitive. I've tried to explain this to my doctor but they just don't get it. Sad to say that I guess I'm not alone.

same thing here!!!! I could not tell if I was choking or coughing.....I made the mistake of trying to drink the mixture since there was a spoonful left in the bowl and I hated to toss it out. Thought I was going to die.....not joking!!!

The elephant picture of the label is a caricature of Hindu deity of Shri Ganesh. It is highly offensive to Hindus. would the brewer put a caricature of Prophet Mohamad, or that of Jesus Christ in its place?
